Supervolcano
Supervolcano (2005), the Discovery Channel:
Emily was way too exicted about this, and would've never forgiven me for not taping it had we not arrived home just in time for the eruption. It's a tv disaster movie through and through, but there's just something about apocalyptic events and the human reaction that's fascinating, however bad the production.

It was a SUPERVOLCANO! What's not to love? All caldera unzipping and miles of falling burning ask. Totally awesome. Only slightly marred by the dull documentary following the movie, explaining how unlikely it was that yellowstone would erupt. Why get us all excited then, Discovery Channel?
